Session Description

This is a comprehensive postnatal review designed to support your physical recovery after birth with time, care, and expert attention. During the appointment, we can explore: Your recovery after vaginal birth or caesarean section Ongoing symptoms such as pain, bleeding, wound concerns, pelvic floor issues, bladder or bowel symptoms Physical changes following pregnancy and birth, including abdominal and pelvic health Hormonal changes, energy levels, sleep, and general wellbeing Any questions or concerns you’ve had since birth but haven’t had space to fully discuss Where appropriate, a gentle examination can be carried out, always with your consent and at your pace. You will leave with: A clear understanding of what is normal for your recovery (and what isn't) Individualised advice and reassurance A plan for next steps, including investigations, treatment options, or referrals if needed A summary you can share with your NHS GP, midwife, or obstetric team
